I have to be honest, it felt like I was dragging myself to the airport again on Monday… the workload of the last 21 week stretch, plus an exciting and hard-working week in Vegas had really drained my energy. I told myself that this was like 3rd period hockey, and planned to leave it all out there in my last event before a two week break!

At Home In Nevada
This week is a special week for me, playing less than 10 minutes from where I live at TPC Summerlin, at one of my home courses. We also had perfect weather all week, and the golf course was in flawless shape. I took extra pleasure in parking in my usual “Tour Member Reserved” spot in the parking lot.
Back in California
I am back here at the Safeway Open in Napa, site of my professional debut back in 2017. I was extremely fortunate to earn a sponsors exemption into this event, as I was originally slated to be the first or second alternate into the event- so a special thank-you to Bob Miller of Safeway/Albertsons and the tournament staff for the opportunity to compete!
Disappointed in Jackson, MS
After a somewhat nightmare-ish travel day from a corporate outing on Monday, I finally made it to my hotel in Jackson (might have gotten the only available room in the entire city for the week!). I played this event the year previous, so I was familiar with the golf course- I only played it once, opting for one of my late Tuesday afternoon practice round times (3-6:30pm).
Hello From the PGA Tour!
I just finished off an eventful five-in-a-row stretch to start the 2019-2020 PGA Tour season. I’ll start with the Military Classic at the Greenbrier, the first event of the year, in West Virginia.
Securing a Spot in Portland!
Checking in from the final event of the Korn Ferry Tour regular season, the WinCo Foods Portland Open. This week is always special on the Korn Ferry Tour because 25 PGA Tour Cards are handed out during the “graduation” ceremony at the end of the week. I entered the week in 20th place on the points list, in a great position but with an outside chance of being passed by six players.
Back in the Bay Area
Hello from back in the Bay Area! We’ll start with the good stuff first, and I finished in solo-3rd place at the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae, which all-but-secured my PGA Tour card!! I shot 65-63-68-69 for a total of 15 under par, carding 22 birdies and 2 eagles in one off my most offensive weeks of the year.
Scorching Hot in Omaha
Unfortunately, this week was a short one. It was scorching hot in Omaha, with a heat index of 109 degrees when I walked off the golf course on Thursday evening at 8pm. I have no complaints about the golf course though, as the Club at Indian Creek was in perfect shape and the greens were some of the best we putted on all year.
Mile High Birdies
Hello! Checking in from the Mile High City at a new tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour, the TPC Colorado Championship. The story this week was the golf course, which measured over 7800 yards!
Utah Update
Over the weekend in Utah, I had a really poor round on Saturday where my frustration with the golf course and weird bounces got the best of me, but closed with a 68 to finish 57th. While it was three pretty good rounds, a 57th place finish was only worth 4 points and didn’t help me much.
