ABOUT RAUL DEJU
EDUCATOR & MOTIVATOR
Raul A Deju, Ph.D., a native of Cuba who migrated to the United States in his early teens, is the founding director emeritus and a supporter of the Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership (IEL). Through the interactive learning platform Curriki, his entrepreneurship program was put online in March 2021 and has been viewed by more than 150,000 users worldwide.
He is currently a partner at Brightstar Capital Partners, a New York–based private equity partnership. He has served in executive positions at the top corporate level at multiple companies, including International Technology Corporation (now Chicago Bridge & Iron), URS Inc. (now AECOM), Waste Management (both domestically and internationally), Isadra Inc., Headwaters, and Energy Solutions. Dr. Deju has served as an adviser to a Secretary of Commerce and to an EPA Administrator. Dr. Deju has been involved in over $5 billion of equity capital being monetized through various liquidity options.
He received his Bachelor’s and Doctoral degrees at New Mexico Tech, earning his Ph.D. at the age of twenty. He is the author of seven books and over two hundred peer-reviewed articles. He was named one of the top Latinos in the San Francisco area and has received numerous other recognitions.
Dr. Deju lives in the San Francisco area with his wife and enjoys spending time with his two sons and multiple grandchildren.

WHY THIS COURSE?
Over the past decade and a half, Dr. Raul Deju and his colleagues developed and taught “The Entrepreneurship Program” that is contained in the Curriki platform with initial support from Chevron, and AT&T. Support also came from the Deju Trust, which aims to turn disabled, minority students and indeed any would be entrepreneurs into successful businesses. This class is designed for those of you that feel that you want to build an enterprise that will make the world a better place and at the same time financially reward you and your team. You must recognize the direction the world is moving and how society is continually evolving because this will help you frame your enterprise.
